I have a JVC X250BT I 'm trying to install using the install sleeve that came with the radio but the sleeve is to large to slide in the radio compartment on my GL 5240. Any suggestions on how the radio will fasten in the radio compartment?

how much too small? 1/32 inch or larger?
Is this in your car? truck? ...cab? show another picture of the "hole". Back in the day before the automakers got on the same page, I would make holder brackets out of wood, tin foil shims, metal, plastic etc....

Did you buy the radio for a specific car? or just got it and now have to make it work?

Thanks for the reply. The install sleeve that goes over the radio is a good quarter inch larger in width. The height is ok. It's very soft and bends easy. It has tabs to bend over the existing factory radio frame once inside and then the is supposed radio slips in tight. I've been looking at these photos and trying to determine this setup. I'll take my roof off next week and view from there. There are existing mounting holes on the new radio. My Kubota 5240the radio is for looks very similar to this link and it is very helpful on the wiring setup.

It's just fiberglass, right?

You can't take a Dremel and enlarge the hole by 1/8" each side?
You need the sleeve installed, make it fit.

After pricing a Kubota factory radio from 2 different dealers, it was recommended I use the audio shop favored by the second dealer because this audio shop actually installed aftermarket radios in all his tractors. I took his advice and purchased the Kenwood model#KDC-255U for $130 tax, title & license out the door and installed it myself using all the verbal instructions and wiring schematic plus some helpful hints. You will not find a better radio for the price and I could not be happier...Comes with CD,AM/FM,IPOD,USB with remote and plenty of wattage inside my new M7040 cab. Very nice !! Available at all Bestbuy Stores.
