Also,
Being somewhat new to using implements with my tractor(s), I have recently purchased a quich attach QH05 and want to use it with a LandPride RCR1242 with my BX1880 mostly for clearing small hedge type brush on my yard. Do I need a "floating top link" in addition to the quick hitch to use with this setup, and the same question if using my BX23S? Thank you to all in advance!

Page 20 of the RCR1242 manual shows a floating top link already on the unit. The QH would need to be adjusted so the top clevis pin is vertically over the lower pins to keep the deck level.

Thank you for your reply, my friend! I am somewhat confused though, seeing that the QH05 model quick hitch has a "fixed" top connection that doesn't allow for the adjustment that it looks like called for in the diagram. Now, grant you, I have not tried to hook this up as of yet to the bush hog, but to another implement that is much older and just may not have been compatible at all. I noticed on the LP cutter the "quick attach" logo, and of course the quick hitch itself is for this specific implement. I just wanted to confirm with a very knowledgable group on the subject before that I proceeded to connect the two pieces of equipment to be safe. Again, I greatly do appreciate your sharing of the info!

You may be just like me, I'm a visual learner and need lots of pictures. LOL!

The circle on all the pictures is where the top hook on the QH10 fits on the upper clevis pin of the RCR1242.
The arrows show the floating top link already on the RCR1242.

Put your QH10 on the tractor, back up to the RCR1242 and hooker up. The width of the QH must fit the lower pins on the mower. You may have to raise or lower the top hook on the QH to line up with the upper clevis on the mower.

Screw the top link adjustment on the tractor in or out to get the upper clevis pin to line up with the lower hitch pins. Follow the instructions in the link I gave to adjust the cutting height.

Sorry should have included this one also.
Arrow is pointing at the tractor's top top link you turn to adjust the Top of the QH in or out.
Follow the instructions in the manual.

A QH 05 and QH 10 will not work for that Mower, you need a QH15 or better yet QH16.

Or save a ton and get one off ebay or harbor freight with a removable top hook.

And moving this thread as you do not have a grey market tractor.

Thank you to everyone for your replies, (especially the photos, "Bee-Positive") again, I am new here and to the tractor scene. Please forgive if I posted in the wrong section, I didn't understand what the "grey market tractor" meant. I have the QH05 quick hitch and does not have the top link adjustment capability as the QH15 has, probably should have bought it instead, I guess. Live an learn= expensively$$$. Dang.

As to what the grey market section is =
At one time people were importing Kubota tractors into the USA from Japan. Those tractors were Japanese domestic tractors that were not intended for the USA market.

Then Kubota corporation became a bigger presence in the USA and since Kubota did not move those tractors into the USA they do NOT support them. In fact, a Kubota dealership would loose there franchise if the service or sell parts for a grey market tractor. They probably often sell parts to grey market tractor owners but they are selling parts for a similar valid USA model and are unaware that the buyer is really maintaining a grey market tractor owners.

You have a valid model for the USA so don’t need to worry about that.
