Has anyone tried to use a quick hitch on a King Kutter finishing mower? I just got a quick hitch for my MX5200, and it looks like I'll have some issues fitting it with a quick hitch. Anyone done any mods to their KK finishing mower to fit a quick hitch, I'd like to see / hear. :D

I think you may have to get an adapter for the top link.

See this link
If your having problems with the quick hitch top link hook up on equipment you need to buy the adapter made for equipment with a problem top link. It is about $10.00 to $18.00.
Sorry I don't remember the part number off the top of my head. Two scroces, agri supply and Harbor Freight.

I used a bit of pipe to take up the slop.

Either that or just use a short piece of chain / chackle. The rest of the implements are fine. Got a Speeco yesterday. Got tired of fiddling and messing with bushings. Such a pain.

I've got a titan one, like a pat's. Lower links only.

Used it on my KK and now a bush hog.

It came wiht bent washers that fit on the end of the link pins on the mower. Top link is the same as always.

If you have a one piece QH then it may be different.

Got pics?

Don’t think I’m going to be able to get the two lower points on the quick hitch under the pins due to the free-float linkage under the pins.

Tried this afternoon. Not enough space to get under the pins.

You flip the free float linkages to the insides and use flat head bolts to reattach them. ;)
and you will also have to rework the top link to make the hook fit.

That might solve it, as long as the bolt head don't stick out too far. I'll try it :D .

Not too worried about the top. If I have to, I'll use a short piece of chain and shackles and angle the top of the quick hitch forward a tad.

Finally got to moving the links on this thing. Guess what, Mr. Wolfman, it worked.
