I took the bowl off and a mess of dirt. I purchased a new filter and 2 o-rings at the dealer to replace the filter. The big o-ring goes on the collar of the fuel bowl, but the small one and the filter opening (which I assume faces up) are too small. I did a cross reference and the filter number appears to be correct. I tried to force the filter over the opening, but seems too tight. What am I missing? I thought the bleeding the lines afterwards was going to be that hard part

I have the sequence correct, but the small o-ring (110) and the opening on the fuel filter (top of 100) are smaller than the filter housing opening. Do I force them on?

Is the new o-ring and the opening in the top of new filter the same size as the o-ring and the opening in the top of old filter you removed?

Did you remove the old small O-ring from the housing number 110? The o-ring fits in a groove and the filter should slip over with ease.

Thanks to statement made by kubman, I took a closer look to see if I could locate the ridge where the small o-ring would be located. Realized that the filter came apart when I removed it and the metal cap at the top of the of the filter was still on the housing. Thanks :) Will I need to bleed the system even if I fill the filter housing with fuel before reinstalling it?
