Question on Front end loader

I have recently purchased a used MX5100DT for our farm. The tractor did not come with a front end loader. I was looking for the application and found that the LA844 loader was the part.

However I cannot find this loader on the Kubota dealers sites, and if I search for loaders I get all "aftermarket" generic loaders. I was wondering what you would recommend for this application. I am also in the market for a post hole digger, but that has been 100% "generic" equipment.

Thanks from central Kentucky for any help sorting this out for me.

I don't believe that model is still made, I'd go with a Woods, we had a Westendorf and it didn't hold up.

Check with your dealer for that loader. Most likely that can get you the exact loader your machine calls for or at least they should be able to set. You up with the next best thing. Also, the loader from an MX5200 should fit and be identical because those two tractors are near identical. Again, your local Kubota dealer could tell you for sure.

Be cautious, just because two tractors looks identical doesn't mean it will work,;) Kubota is notorious for making subtle changes that makes parts and mounts incompatible between different models.
Kubota does not list the two tractors as taking the same loader, but after reviewing the two loaders side by side they use the same mounts, boom and controls (the very key points to fitment and operation).
The major changes are the grill guard, (that might be the one part that would need changed back to the LA844 part), the links for the bucket and the standard quick hitch (all of which are great additions).
So in this case take it up with a dealer, they should be able to confirm fitment, by all I know it should work flawlessly.

I only mentioned looking at the newer MX5200 tractor for its loader because it's the newer version of the mx5100, much the same way the older L3800 tractors came with the 524 loader but my newer l3901 comes with a 525 loader. Same exact tractor and loader aside from different number decals and the emissions stuff. Again just using it as an example and the OP would still need to contact his local kubota dealer for either the original loader that goes with his tractor or a newer compatible loader.

Go with the O.E loader whenever possible. Cheaper! But the L844 is still in the current Kubota whole goods book.

I would also suggest ordering the grill guard MX8190 and 2 lever Quick tach L2226 and L2296 72" HD round back bucket.

Also depending on how big of a yank you are in? I would have your dealer order it with a load instead of paying by the pound on LTL.

Thanks for all the good information. I think that I will visit my local dealer for the loader. The farm is 100+ acres so I do not wish to go cheap on the loader. The only reference to the post hole digger seems to lean towards the Woods brand. Thanks to everyone for the information.
