Question about grease zerks on my Kubota B2320.

In this picture indicates a red circle around the grease zerk at the HST point. In the manual it shows that the yellow circled area is also a zerk but it doesn't look like one, it just looks like a hole. Can anyone give me some insight to this and what to do? Thank you.

That just looks like a different mounting area for something else. I would not worry about greasing it.

Is your B2320 a non- hydrostatic drive (i.e. geared drive)? If so, it looks like item 1 is your zerk. Item 2 represents where the zerk would be on an HST equipped model.

I think you have it covered - the diagram in manual is showing your zerk, when they bubbled it and enlarged the picture, it is exactly what you have circled in red. There is no zerk where your yellow circle is located - if there was a zerk there - there does NOT seem to be any internal threads there, then again the picture is not clear enough to see. OP - are there threads there INSIDE the hole? and is the machine geared or HST as others have mentioned?

My post didn't read very clearly. I assume your tractor has a gear shift, not just a forward and reverse pedal/trundle, correct?

Not a button head grease fitting. If it was every tractor owner would need more tools for one grease application.

The manual is confusing. The zerk is obvious. The other deal makes no sense.

Great replies, all of you! Thank you very much for all your feedback as the HST is not available on this gear shifted tractor and there would be a fitting if there were a zerk there. I believe you have covered all of this for me and I thank you again.

Button Head fitting was the first thing that came to mind for me. I think they can come with or without a ball check valve. Would seem odd to mix the two types on the same equipment. Pic is from McMaster.

Now I'm confused all over again! Ha ha ha ha! You may have to directly go to Kubota and see what they say. Thanks for your input.

Sorry Drummerbobby, I guess it's better to go to the official source and be sure. :) Curious to hear what you learn.

Just saw this. I have the B2620 and there is no fitting there.
