Question about BX 70-1 series

No. I have an 1870 and the mmm deck is a pain to install. Removing it is not too bad. I take mine off about every month to clean and sharpen blades and have become very good at it. Only takes a few minutes. The deck weighs about 200 pounds but on a hard flat surface moves around ok.
Got it thanks. Thought I read in the on-line product information that Kubota offers a drive over deck, but haven't seen any threads ever talking about this feature. Sure wish Kubota would step up with newer technology so us older guys don't have to be down on the ground/knees connecting up implements.
I recently spoke to a dealer near by and he confirmed they do now offer a drive over deck. That being said they had not received one yet and therefore could not provide much feedback. If you go to Kubotas's website you can build your BX with one. I think they are roughly $ 500-600 more. The dealer also told me that even though they are drive over you will likely still have to reach down and connect the PTO.

Tried something new with my BX2370-1 today with deck on hardtop. Raised up front wheels with FEL and blocked back wheels. Dragged MMM under tractor some and dragged on under with a chain. Lined up with lift to TOP to lower down as far as it would go. Popped back of MMM in place. Hooked PTO to tractor. Started up tractor and slowly backed up to lift FEL up in air. Locked FEL in place. Hooked up from of mowing deck and locked in place. Turned knob back to mowing where I marked it last year. Lifted up deck went over grass and enabled that wonderful mowing sound to mow grass. Only took half the time and cussing with a little help to put in place than last year. Did first mowing this year in 45 minutes. Other mower used was a 46" cub cadet we got couple months ago.... it has same setup to drive as my BX to drive with foot pedal and handle to engage mowing. So i really do not see a drive over option being any easier since the PTO still has to be manually connected.

that's the part that always threw me .....how the hell does the PTO AUTOMATICALLY HOOK UP??? .....I agree - getting the mmm under and lined up is a little bit of a pita .....but getting the pto hooked and or unhooked is the hardest part because it is so far away to reach
On Deere autoconnect units, the PTO has a coupler that hangs down and lines up with a shaft sticking out of the mower gearbox. I believe the Deere system is patented so Kubota would need to figure out a slightly different way to do it (and it wouldn't surprise me if they were working on one given how competitive this segment is)
