Hello

My first post so please bear with me.

I recently purchased a used BX23S. So far I've purchased a 5ft LP box blade, a BX2506 3PT hitch, Mark H telescoping stabilizers and Tractor Innovations 3rd function valve kit and center post cylinder for better use of the box blade.

My question is: I want to have a quick hitch to attach the box blade and future implements. Is there any compelling reason why I would need the QH16 over the QH05?

Also I am looking for a receiver hitch to attach to whichever I end up with.

I am just a novice at this point and do not have the experience to forsee why I might need to spend that extra money.

Thank you!

Unless you are buying nonstandard QA implements, there is no reason to have adjustments.

The QH16 has an adjustable top hook and the QH05 does not. As Jim points out that may not be important if all your attachments are compatible. It may not be a bad thing to have the option if you find a killer deal on a non-compatible attachment if the future.

The QH05 is half the weight of the QH16 so it may be easier to mount and dismount. Something that get more important the older we get.

Choose the QH that meets your current and future needs.
Personally if all my implements were QH compatible and future plan to purchase other non Landpride QH compatible hardware. Would go with the QH16. Only one other 3 pt implement on the need list. Land plane/grader scraper.

I choose the 05. Back blade is not QH compatible. Lower pins are too closely spaced. So on and off with the QH05. IIRC, it is ~35#. Easy one person on and off and on and...New snowblower is close to 400#. IIRC box blade +300#. Blade is light(sub 200#). Need to muscle it around even after replacing the toggle stab with sliding bars. NH had sliding fitting at the pin mount end of the 3pt lower arms. Didn't really need a QH for even the 500# snowblower. Thinking new lighter blower would be a pain to muscle around if parked on a non level surface.
