I've got a bit of a problem. I unhooked my rear finish mower (land pride 1660) and when I went to put it back on could not get it to go all the way on. I'm pulling back on the end but it doesnt seem to lock in the back position, thus it only slides halfway onto the pto shaft. Any ideas or help appreciated.

Wipe the inside of your splined coupling with a rag to make sure you have no dirt in there. Then give it a spray with a lube, even WD40 will do. Spray the spring loaded part you push in a couple of them and spray the splined area as the pin is pushed in and out. Then it should slide on easily and lock in place.

First make sure the inside of the coupling is free of grass and dirt.
Next spray some PB blaster or other penetrating oil into the inside of the coupling, probably just has a coupling ball or latch sticking.
