My L3240 Tractor has a hole in the pto pipe. I called around looking for a new pipe and was told that it would
late october until they come in due to backorder status. I need to run the tractor soon, not october, So i was
thinking of having a hyrdaulic hose made at a local shop with the correct banjo fittings on it ? But i dont know how high the pressure rating would need to be for that line ? any help or advice? The part i need i cant find.
it is Kubota TD120-69930. Have tried multiple dealers, parts vendors, ebay, amazon > no luck..
thanks for any assistance

Price out the difference between 3500 psi and 5,000 psi hose. It's usually the fittings that are the majority of the price when getting the hydraulic line made up. The fittings are the same whether its a 3,000 or 5000 psi line.

It's been my experience the 5,000 psi hose has a longer life span. It's stiffer and less prone to kinks and damage.

Always trying to learn something. What is a PTO pipe?

I get it that it must be part of the fuel system after reading the above posts…

The PTO clutch is generally applied using either regulated oil from the transmission circuit or HST charge oil. Both of these are below 500psi.

Like NIW said weld or braze the line. Just be sure to not restrict the flow.

I agree, weld or bronze the pipe. I have bronzed lots of pipes and never had a issue.

I've brazed a ton of them on different equipment. B's, BX's, L's, etc. Even high pressure stuff, they hold up fine.

Gotta clean up the metal really well and get it down to bare steel. Then braze it normally.
