The PTO on my L2501 is cable operated and does not disengage most of the time. I can sometimes wiggle the cable just under the lever and it will disengage other times I have to cycle the throttle and depress the clutch repeatedly to get it to disengage.
Could use suggestions on adjustment or spring replacement, anything you have been successful with resolving this kind of problem.
