Power steering rubber boots covered under warranty?

I bought a used BX2370 and it has ~6 months of warranty remaining. The machine is in great shape and there are no issues except the front rubber power steering boots are cracked and slightly wet with oil. Any chance those are covered under warranty? Looks like they would take some work to replace and repack. Thanks!

Porkchops, I contracted for a Kubota dealer in NH and they would often replace those under warranty for customers. It is up to the dealer however, so if you have a good relationship with yours, they might hook you up.

I believe the boots are not separate on the BX's, you need to buy the whole ball joint...or maybe my mind isn't accurate.

Those are known issues for the BX, B and L series machines, especially if they get into branches and such.

I don't know it they are covered by the warranty, they are sort of a wear item.
But they are super easy to replace, take a file and put a notch behind lock nut so you know where it should return to, loosen lock nut, spin shaft out of joint, replace boot and reassemble, 5 min job at most.
There is no repacking them with anything except a shot or 2 of grease.

Thanks guys. Yeah, after further research this looks like a very common problem and not expensive to fix. I may order the parts and sit on them until I have time for short project. I definitely want to keep them protected in the future -- I am surprised they are out in front like that as they look like they are susceptible to damage.

Some of the L's and M's have shields over them, but I've seen more damage done by the shield coming back and hitting the ram.
