Pin for front-wheel dr breaks b1750hst

The pin for the yoke of the front wheel drive at the hst has broken twice.
It seems to bind when I do a short turn.
There is slope, wear, on the splines.
Is this what is causing the binding or could it be something else?
I do have the bi-turn engaged.

Wear on the splines can cause things to bind, but usually it's wear on the U joint or bind in it that causes the issue.
