Noticed a leak in lift arm, small wet spot and a few drops on the fitting/hose. Wiped it off, ran the tractor, and now no leak. I figured running it would amplify the leak so that I could tell which hose it was actually coming from, there are two side by side. Has anybody had a phantom leak before where it stops for no apparent reason?

As that hydraulic fluid gets worked it builds up some tremendous heat and presssure - and the viscosity goes down - so the hot and less viscous fluid will find a way to vent through so very small places.

Maybe a simple 5 degree turn on a fitting cures it ?
