My neighbor had about the same problem with a set of forks he bought. It was a close fit but not quite. I think that's a pretty common problem when you buy universal fit instead of original equipment.

I paid about $150 more for Kubota forks. My neighbor was happy he saved some money. I'm happy mine fit propperly. I don't know who would be the winner of that race, we both are happy with what we have.

The photo looks a lot like mine, my pallet forks are adjustable slide in and out...and of course 'made in China', but anyway, if your 'quick connect' handle is locked down...the pin in the photo is locked 'in'...I don't believe you can louse the fork assembly off. Because its locked in. If the assembly is loose and can come off then don't use them. Return them.

A small piece of plate welded to the mount that fits snugly against your pins would take care of that, I would think, and you'll still have saved $500 on the forks over the kubota set..
I have the 36" set from them but had to make my own pin on mounts as I don't have SSQA, I think there very good for the price.

the pins do keep the frame on there is just quite a bit of play...i will just have to get someone to weld 1/4" flat piece of metal on there to make them really snug...OR i guess i just need to by myself a welding machine and start learning :D

My L3800 was just delivered today with the forks on and the bucket sitting on top (so I knew the forks fit properly). I had the delivery/trainer guy show me how to get the forks off and put the bucket on, did about 4 hours of work, then realized the forks were sitting just off the edge of my driveway :-/ So I took the bucket off and had a HECK of a time getting the forks on so I could move them to the back under the deck. I had to put the forks on partially, then pull them up and place them down level, then just play around until the pins lined up. Took about 20 minutes before I could get it pinned in. Took it around back, dropped it off, and the bucked went on in about a minute. Those forks are tough.
