I have the original ~2004 BX23D with LA210 Loader. I am installing a Land Pride 380-339A 3rd function kit made for the newer BX23S and 80 series tractors. The hydraulic block for the BX23D loader/backhoe is different from the BX23S and the language used to describe the hydraulic components and ports is... not consistent.

The service manual for my tractor lists the loader's power beyond port as PB. The loader valve on my tractor is stamped BY (no PB port on the valve). Is the BY port on the loader valve indeed the power beyond port? I plumbed the 3rd function valve in series with the BY port and hydraulic block as shown in the last image. Im like 99% sure this is correct, but just wanted a 3rd party sanity check before hitting the button and blowing something up.

Heres a few more commonly used labels/terms for this basic concept of isolating tank and work circuits from the high pressure supply.

N = NEUTRAL = E = HIGH PRESSURE CARRY OVER = HPCO = POWER BEYOND

Thanx guys! I suppose learning the hydraulic schematic symbols would be a good idea.

It was a bit of a leap of faith ordering the wrong kit for my tractor, but I'm glad I did... Saved a bunch of money and got a better understanding of how the hydraulics function.
