Posting on the purchase of a 2023 MX6000 "new" at the dealer with less than 10 hours on it. Apparently they've used it for shows and implement demonstrations. It looks pretty good in the pictures, but there is some surface rust on the three point and a little on the brush guard in front. The engine cover and fenders look good as does the bucket. I would be somewhat concerned about the seat after sitting out for three years. The tractor would come with the full 2yr factory warranty along with additional time on the drivetrain. They are looking to get $31k for it.

It seems strange that a dealer would hold onto a tractor this long and then sell it off. I'm thinking it's hard to go wrong with a full factory warranty. I'm interested in the forum members thoughts on the purchase.

Thanks in advance

If it is what you need…. And if it’s below the usual retail price for that model because it was a demonstrator…. Go for it.

If you’re really bothered about that seat…ask them for a new seat.…but I wouldn’t worry about a little paint damage or minor rust on non-critical, non-moving parts. (It’s not “really” a ‘23 model…..when they sell it in ‘26 it’ll be a ‘26 model.) ;)

my thoughts if your looking for a garage queen and a little fading/rust/cracked hoses, etc... bother you then pass as you won't ever be happy.

if you are a commercial user and expect to put 1,000+ hrs on it a year I would personally have no trouble or concerns buying it as in a few months of work the minor stuff you mention is of no importance.

I think it should be fine in SoCal if that's where you are. What does it have with it? Does it have a loader, or extra hydraulics?

If it has a loader, that’s a great price. 10 hours is new, but I would have them change fluids due to age.

This is maybe not helpful, but in the OP seems like the concern is cosmetic. It’s your money get what you want. JMHO, but I be making sure everything functions and meets your expectations from a user standpoint before worrying about cosmetics. In this case it’s t is extremely reasonable to ask for a demo. I’d be shocked if they would not let you come and drive and it and try all the functions. (They might even bring to you try it?)

it’s worth what someone will pay. Is that a good price? Maybe? Did you demo it? Seems like a really good price price but, Have not seen it or used it so who knows. Buyer Beware. (Everything cosmetic mentioned could easily be repaired or swapped out…but that doesn’t make it function correctly….and it’s probably fine but I’d check. YMMV).

If everything checks out and it meets your use case, all I can MX is a very capable machine even though it doesn’t have as many features as an L.

According to the Build Your Own feature on the Kubota website, a MX6000 with a Loader, standard tires, and no other added features is $48,889. So $31,000 is a huge savings.

I'd run it hot, get them to include the first 50 hour service of all fluids and filters, and ask for 2 complete sets of filters, a steering wheel spinner, owners manual and WSM on PDF, and a hat.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts and insights they are much appreciated. I've been looking off and on for several months as we wait for our house to be built. There are some good deals to be had, but almost everything involves a road trip for me.
I'll contact the dealer and suggest/request they accept some of the suggestions and see where it goes.

I wouldn't get too excited about asking them for lots of free stuff. Nice if you can get it, but $31K is already a red hot price. Definitely hat and WSM. I've never used a spinner and don't see the point, flat hand on top of the wheel works fine. And one change is fine, not sure you get away with asking for fluids and filters for 2 additional changes.

I happen to really like the wheel spinner on my MX6000. But I bought it a TSC for less than $20. But I agree, the price is fantastic and I would buy it without getting anything extra.

I am not much of a “negotiator” or a “haggler”……as a matter of fact, I am pretty much ”piss poor” at it.

If I like the price I buy it, if not, I simply say “thanks” and walk away.

I would not be put off by it being a few years old though, so if that is a good price, I’d be on it.

(FWIW, I love my “suicide knob” on my tractor. For 20 bucks, it's worth a shot. :D )

Heres my “free BH-77” along with my "$10,000 dollar hat."

I would certainly not expect two services, or even one at my (once) local dealer.

Dealer charges $125/hour for delivery of a new tractor (or anything else) and it is not negotiable. Clock starts ticking when the driver takes the truck key from the peg in the service manager's office and stops when he puts it back.

N.Y,
I would not buy anything Kubota built during the pandemic. 21 & 22 built Kubotas scare me after my experience. Check the build date.
