I have a B6100 D , got it in a auction , ran it a little, just playing , low oil pressure light would flicker when idling . I changed the oil and filter , used Valvoline HD diesel 15-40.Now light is on all the time. I want to install a oil pressure gauge , what should the pressure be , no hour meter

Do a search on camshaft plug, I think your model possibly has this failure.

If my memory is right it's around 40lbs.

Normally when you hear about this issue it has a plug out on the end of the cam shaft has come out, easy fix. ;)

A mechanical gage is a good idea for sure.

At hot idle, 10 psi is sufficient. Full RPM should be above 30.
These numbers are just general guidelines.

I guess my oil pressure sensor was bad, put on a mechanical gauge and guess what ( this is running in heated garage, so not hot running yet ) 65 psi full throttle and 55 psi at low idle. Not bad for a B6100D , that's with a oil change w/ Valvoline 15-40 diesel.
