Its an ordinary 6208 open ball bearing. You can buy them for less than $20.I found a video, and I finally figured out which parts diagram was correct. On parts sites, it's the "front axle" diagram. I can't get this particular diagram to come up at Coleman's. Messick's is slightly cheaper. I would like to buy locally, but I just can't face the long drive and then standing at the parts counter trying to show the parts guy the right items.

I feel like I ought to go ahead and put new bearings in. Of course, my serial number takes the $40 bearing, not the $17 bearing. They made a change somewhere during production.
For some reason, the leak has tapered off a great deal. I'm going to jack the tire up and see if I can wobble it. If not, I assume I can still use the tractor while I wait for parts.
No need to cross reference. The pictures at Messicks clearly show KOYO 6208-4 etched on the bearingThat does not surprise me at all.
I looked around for a cross reference and gave up. Maybe I can get Messick's to take it off the order.
The taper facing the rim only applies if the rim holes are tapered.Looks like your lugnuts are on backwards too. Bevel end faces the rim.....
6208 is the industry (ISO) standard designation for a 40x80x18 mm single row deep groove radial ball bearing.I saw some source saying one bearing is is a 6208-SH2 bearing made by Koyo. If web sources are right. The 6 means "single-row deep groove ball bearing." The 2 means "light." Light what, I do not know. The 06 means a 30mm bore size. The suffix means "double-sided low-torque contact seals." I don't see any seals at all, so I guess the information is wrong.
It says 6208-4 on it, but I can't find 4 as a Koyo suffix.
The other one says 6207-JR2 on it, but I can't find any explanation for the JR2.
I don't want to fool with it. I don't see any reason why I can't buy bearings elsewhere and stick them in there, but I am no bearing expert, so I would rather just overpay and not worry that there is some important detail I will find out about later.
Evidently, the bearing is only rated for 9800 RPM, so I will have to take it easy when zipping across my pastures.
Thanks for the help. I'll just let Kubota have this round and not worry about it.
You can also go to the bearing manufacture’s website and find how they designate the bearings and suffixes. You can also take the bearing to a bearing supply shop and they will be able to to match it up exactly.I found a site about reading codes, but not every code is easy to find.
The grand L10 series use lug-centric front wheel with tapered holes. The exception is a model with a 5-15 front rim. that is a hub-centric setup that requires the lug nut be reversed and a lock washer installed. This is straight from the manual....The taper facing the rim only applies if the rim holes are tapered.
If the rim holes are flat, the wheel nuts are on correctly.

I believe the 4 in that part number indicates its internal clearance class is C4.
C2 = tight
CN = Normal
CM = Electric motor service
C3 = looser than an normal
C4 = looser than C3
C5 = looser than C4
All of those classes are defined (by ISO) in clearance ranges of roughly 10 uM and partially overlap the adjacent classes.
Other common suffiixes:
RS = rubber seal
2RS = rubber seal both sides
Z = metal shield
ZZ = metal shields both sides
NR = snap ring groove
Now you know.
