Oil filter

I can't get the oil filter off. I can get the tool on, but can't turn it to tighten because everything is in the way, help, please

change the type of "wrench" or grip that you are using...........
did you remove the bonnet? Slide it forward?
there are dozens of type of "wrenches" , and if ALL else fails, the screwdriver works wonders..........

The dealer we purchased the tractor from, sold us the wrench today, said it was correct. Guess I'll try the screwdriver. Is the "bonnet" over the current filter? Thanks!

I don't know what I would do without my strap wrench. Takes off any size filter, and then some.

Easiest way on a BX is with a cup socket (like a really big socket that fits over the end of the filter), a 3 plus inch socket extention, and rachet.

These work good. Most quick lube oil change places have those at their disposal.

Easiest way on a BX is with a cup socket (like a really big socket that fits over the end of the filter), a 3 plus inch socket extention, and rachet.

This is what I use, but you must make sure you buy a filter that has the socket flats on it. Some don't.

I use a pair of "Vise Grip" brand filter wrench on all our Kubotas.

Same I have drilled into filter and turn with screw driver more then once.

I use one of the socket style whenever possible, and the second style if I don't have the correct socket type.

Those are usually my go to for filters. Got two of the oil filter channel locks as well. One small pair, one large that will open up to 8" for large hydraulic filters. Occasionally I'll have to pull out the strap wrench when some bone head gets froggy and uses a wrench to tighten a filter.
