I need to do my 50h service on the L2502. I've already changed the engine oil filter and the HST filter. I now need to change the "inlet filter" with I believe is the hydraulic filter.

I wanna know if that's gonna bleed a lot of oil. I'm planning on doing this in the field instead of the garage. Am I gonna need a large bucket and a gallon of new oil?

If you just unscrew that filter you're going to drain way more than a gallon, unless you're mighty quick.

Option 1 Pull the plug, catch the oil (be prepared for 10 gallons), and reuse the oil.

Option 2 Use a Shop Vac on the fill port to maintain a vacuum on the sump and prevent the fluid from draining. I've never personally done this.

I did mine by just "being quick"...I lost a few quarts, but it was not too bad.....

However, if you "fumble" that filter, you will be sad.
