Odd trip to the dealer

Having never sat in any seats (of any kind), I stopped by the Augusta, GA Kubota dealer on the way home from post.

I walked the yard. 2-3 BX23s, few other BX. 1 L2501, several L33, L39, L47s. No B models of any type.

Thought it was odd that no L on the lot had HST; only gears. I had assumed that 90% of the tractors shipped were HST. Here, not one on the lot out of 10-15 machines. Is that purely my incorrect assumption or reality? Or they can't sell them? hmmm

I walked in an asked if they had any "B" models of any flavor. The lady said, "What's that? You mean a BX?"

"No," says I, "B."

"Is that mower or tractor? Zero turn?"

"No, it's a compact tractor. B2301, B2601, B2650?"

Said she never heard of it. Went in the back and asked someone - said they've never sold, or been asked to sell a B - but they'd be happy to order me one.....

Makes it hard to compare.

/sigh

If they're that uninformed, I'd be looking elsewhere. Can't imagine them trying to service a tractor they didn't know existed.

I could believe they didn't have any B's on the lot, my dealer can't keep them because they sell so fast. They had one that I tried out, a B3350, when I was first looking. When I went to buy at their open house I knew I wanted the B2650 and they happen to have just gotten one in and it was still in the box. Around here, and we live in the sticks, it is a popular tractor so I can't believe a dealer anywhere would not know of it's existence so definitely an "Odd dealer"
