Today my fan belt came off. I didn't know it tell the temp lite came on. I shut it down and headed to the dealer. My tractor is 2 months old and 22.3 hours. I have friends that have Kubotas that have 600 plus hours and never had a problem with them. The fan belt didn't break it just came off and was cued up. So the dealership is replacing it..... Why did it come off. I think their is something else wrong. Not happy at all

I know when I picked up my BX in March the dealer stressed that the fan belt be checked every 10 hrs or so.
I've checked it twice, so far still nice and tight.

May be something wrong, but it's not inherent to the BX, have had them since 2003 and no problems like that.

The belt was probably loose (not checked by Dealer at prep) when you got the tractor.
After a couple of months of running, it got looser, then came off. I'd ask the Dealer to go over the entire tractor and make sure nothing else was missed before returning it to you.
Good luck

My dealership never said anything about checking the fan belt every 10 hours or so,but from now on I will. My friends that have the bx line of tractor. They just don't have any problems. That's why I got one. It's been in the shop twice. Thanks for your replies.

I have the 2370 (little brother to the 2670) and my manual only says to "adjust" the fan belt every 100 hours. It doesn't even list "checking" it in the service intervals. And it's not mentioned in the "Pre-Operation" check either.

I think the "10 hours" statement may have been a typo. Seems like "100" hours is more correct.

I sure don't check mine every ten hours.
