I was blading my laterals for my irrigation pipe and found a piece of concrete that was buried. I bought it a week ago today. Although I was mad about the blade I was impressed that my L4701 could do that kind of damage to it. I never even felt it hit. I looked back because the motor bogged down for a second.

OUCH...
That will take about 50 ton or more press to get some of that straitened out...
You likely won't get it perfect, but maybe close...

Hard part will be finding a press big enough, and with time enough to get the blade in and able to block it up securely to straiten..

Probably Just going to order a new moldboard and blade. Looks lie it's going to cost around $250-$300.

What about backing the RH side of the blade into a hard stop, like a tree and slowly/carefully bending it back to into place? Seems like you would have nothing to lose.

That sucks! I'm amazed that you could do that an not feel significant resistance before the blade buckled. If it were my rear blade I'd chop it up and make steel targets out of it and order a new and heavier rear blade from the local dealer. That blade is around 297lb compared to the RB2672 and RB3772 which are 369lb and 595lb respectively. I would say that the RB26 series blades are too light for your tractor despite LP's claim that they're for 20 - 40 hp tractors. I opted for an RB3796 for this very reason, so that my 60hp tractor can't easily mess up a blade rated for 80 hp tractors.

Thanks for posting. I have an old 6’ light duty blade, probably Leinbach but not sure who made it. My Dad bought it before I was born so it isn’t sized with the L4701 in mind. It’s better at windrowing gravel from the ditches back up onto the crowned gravel road than the box blade but I’ve so far left any heavy work for the box blade.

Your misfortune is a reminder to me that I need to keep my back blade relegated to light use if I want to be able to use it at all.

Unfortunately I have busted some items of tree rigging, two ropes and one chain, by underestimating the drawbar capability of the 4701. A little bigger tractor than we’ve had previously is nice but we’re having to be a bit careful with some of the older implements.

Did you have the blade already? It's not for a 47 hp tractor, you needed a RB2672 series blade at the very least.

Similar issue with mine recently. Decent size pine fell in pond, of course sticking into muddy bottom. Needed some distance to keep the tractor off the steep slope near the edge so I get the alleged 9,000lb working strength/18,000lb break strength bull rope to attempt pulling it out. Pulled about 6’ and then it got tough. Wheels spinning in 4wd low. Rope pulls in half in the middle. Not near a knot, not rubbing on anything, just broke. Tractor made part in Japan, part in US. Tree and pond made in US. Rope made in China. Disappointing but somehow not shocking. If you ever wondered what’s inside a Chinese bull rope, see below.

Currently researching skidding winch v heavier rigging NOT made in China. Skidding winch would be sweet but $$$.
