NO spark (plug not wet)
NO power to +12VDC wire going to carb while cranking
Seat Switch tested OK
Check all 3 fuses for continuity- OK

This is my MIL's unit. I see where there is a safety switch on the brake ( K1122-62250 )
Does this switch kill voltage to the coil and the carb?
Where could I find a schematic? I struck out with google.
Many Thanks guys!
Tim

Dunno, but a temporary jumper across a safety switch is a great diagnostic tool. Multiple safety switches? Multiple jumpers. All of them.

Once you get it started, you can remove them one by one to see where the problem is. OR you will find out it's not one of the safety switches and move on to other possibilities.

Welcome tidentenn

Couldn't find a "schematic" per say.

You can find a picture of the electrical system in the parts list here. Some part numbers have been superseded.

Messick's uses the same pictorials but you can zoom in and get a better look.

Not to be a smart A$$ but I don't think voltage should be going to the Carb. Just saying.

Check that your getting voltage to the main switch (where the key goes) from the battery. If not check the wire to the battery, battery ground. If OK proceed. With the key turned to "start" check that your getting voltage out of the switch. If not, bad switch. If yes check cable and voltage to starter. Can you jump the starter and have it turn over? (make sure you're out of the way and/or it's' in neutral or blocked if it lurches when you jump the starter just to be safe) If OK check safety switch on brake pedal, it has to be depressed to start. Etc. Etc. Etc.

Proceed down the line until you find the problem. Let us know what you come up with.

Thanks for the reply and links! I guess I should have said " Fuel Shut Off Solenoid " :) The starter will spin the engine all day long...just no spark and no fuel on the plug with the engine choked the entire time. Working on it again tomorrow. Again, Thanks!

FYI, it's, "per se". :)

Many larger gas engines have a fuel cutoff solenoid built into the carb. Usually it's a bullet type connector into the bottom of the bowl.

Since the OP says there's no 12v going to the carb, he probably traced a wire to the carb and had the good sense to check it for jolts.

WELL!!! That changes everything! LOL
I read your original question as a voltage issue instead of a fuel issue.

I see why you need a schematic if no power to the fuel pump. Hard to trace a wire that disappears into to a wire harness and the illustrations are less than helpful. No spark is an issue unto itself.

Any evidence of mice chewing on the wires? Use your multimeter to check continuity if possible.

The shutoff solenoid and I have history. Three years ago part of the bowl gasket decided it wanted freedom. :) I'll be wire/switch/connection/fuse inspecting more today. It died while the was mowing. I had just replaced her battery and the was almost done with a ~1 hour mow. She said it died like when she gets off the seat. I checked that switch and jumpered across it day 1. Wish me luck!

FYI - T1670 Work Shop Manuals for a price.

I see you got a wiring diagram off Facebook, was that helpful?

Thanks for the links! The FB post didn't hurt...I went to pinterest (again) and searched on starter and found the image (bit clearer) :)
