sometimes dash lights flicker and tractor will not start if lights dontv flicker tractor starts

Replace BOTH big battery cables with new, molded ones.

Replace BOTH big battery cables with new, molded ones.

These problems are almost always associated with battery cables and the battery ground cable connection to the tractor frame.
Don't mess about with replacement cable ends but follow Jay's advice and buy two new cables
