Leafy England....
Greeting all
I recently purchased a nice B6000 to replace an ageing wheelhorse tractor that has been well and truly wornout;) now.
I found this site by luck today whilst searching for info on the B6000 tractor, and by all account, this seems to be an excellent source of info and help.

A few questions are needing answers too, if anyone can help it would be great.

1) how can you correctly indentify which year model of 6000 you have.
Its S/N is B6000-27874
also Has ZL600 stamped on a plate behind teh gear lever.

I've looked at a lot of pics and they do vary, mine has the fuel tank placed from left to right accross the chassis behind the engine with the battery located inbetween it and the dash/bulkhead.

2) is it possible to change the throttle setup , mine is a lever horizontally mounted just beneath the dash/bulhead. I see that some have a larger vertical lever closer to the steering wheel?

How much work is involved putting a floor mounted pedal ass as on 6100 and 7001/7100 models ?

The tractor is in great condition and the pto ccw issue is probably not an issue for me to be honest.

So there you go, nice to be on here and see you all.

cheers
rob

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the ORANGE tractor. :D:D:D:D
I used to have a RED tractor too (wheel horse). It was good but I like my ORANGE one better. :D:D:D

The vertical throttle lever is mounted into a welded bracket on the fuel tank. If your fuel tank does not have this bracket welded on it then the vertical change could get more involved.

Definately show some pics.:)

thanks for the warm welcome guys.

I'll upload some decent pics shortly but in the meantime here is one that shows the engine and fuel tank arrangement, the throttle rod can been seen running hoizontally from just below the dash/bulkhead to the engine just above the exhaust etc.
it only has a smallish handle to use anyway.

hope this is visible, i have seen load of pics today and they were not like this one, could this be an early model or a near end of production version.

thanks
rob

Nice pic! That brings back memories of my B6000E.

Oooooooops I said wrong. For some reason I remembered my "B" to be similar to my "L" because the throttle was the same position. This pic reminds me of the layout under the hood is different from my "L". So what I said about the tank bracket does not apply to yours.

Nice tractor. :):):)
