Well I got me a new cell phone, a Google Pixel 9A. I really didn't care for the AI features. My old phone have not had any security updates in years and I figure that I need a replacement before prices go up and I got a decent deal on this one. After a few days using and exploring the phone I found a "call screen" feature and I turned it on. Then I noticed that I was not getting the usual 10 spam calls a day. I checked the phone call log and there was the usual list of extraneous phone numbers. However, in addition there were two options for each: to hear a recording of the conversation of the digital assistant with the caller or see a transcription of the conversation. It is fantastic! No more having to hang up on calls from mysterious numbers! Here is the transcript from one of the calls. The only thing that is not in the screen capture is the assistant last statement "Sorry, they can't take the call right now. Have a great day!"
