Like the title says, i am the proud owner of a B5100e. It has the 60" belly mower, and cuts like a dream!

I am wanting to do a complete service on it, and besides the oil, what all else will i need to do? What do i need to check?

Also, im wanting to get a box blade and possible a tiller. What are the capabilites of the 3pt on this thing? Is it possible to run a brush hog?

Are there any common problem areas on this machine that i need to check or watch out for?

Thanks in advance for any input!

Matt

Hi Matt how far you go servicing it really depends on when it was last serviced. But if you don’t know when I would start with the most essential items first.
Engine oil, Engine oil filter, clean or replace air filter, Gear box oil, clean or replace gearbox oil filter, check radiator - drain replace coolant if necessary, replace fuel filter ( this can be a bit tricky if you get air in the systems you will then have to bleed the system to get all the air out Vick has a video on this), Grease all grease nipples, check there are no lose bolts anywhere, check fan belt tension., check /grease front bearings. I am not fortunate to have a belly mower but I would check belts bearings and blades.

You can use cat 1 and 0 three point link attachments but you will need front weights to use them safely. Also the tractor is only 12bhp at the engine so you would want to use a small rear mower about 90-100cm approx wide.

I have found my b5100e to be very reliable, and easy to work on. The only negative is the clutch is on the sharp side a takes a bit of getting use to. But all in all they are a great little tractor. Hope this helps Orange tree.

I think my motor is running a little hot. Does kubota make a temp guage for these, or does would any old run of the mill universal guages work?

Congradulations on the 5100E nice little tractor. I love mine
great for mowing. you can find a owners manual on line for it.
that will help a lot. The 5100e has enough power to run a
48" tiller but I think because of the weight issue I would go with
a 42" tiller.
