I recently upgraded from a 2001 Agco ST30x to a new B2650. When I decided it was time for a new tractor, I had a difficult time making up my mind which to buy. Various postings on Orange Tractor Talks were a huge factor in my decision. Thanks to all for the help!

I've had the tractor for almost a week with 24 hours on the meter now and I can say I'm very happy with the performance. If you are considering one and are like me, you are worried about the less than 20 PTO horsepower. The first thing I did was attach my 5 foot bush hog and started mowing saplings and heavy brush in an area I hadn't mowed in years. The tractor handled it fine. It also pulls my 60" finish mower and 5' grader box without issue. I am equally impressed with the loader lifting large logs and digging in compacted clay soil.

Just though I would share my thoughts on the purchase in case others were shopping for the same.

Thanks for the info, I'm still learning my 2650, I'm certain i'll need to get a brush hog down the line. Welcome to the forum!

Congratulations on your new tractor. Nice looking machine. It is pretty impressive what these smaller tractors can do.

You're going to be due for 50 hours Fluid and Filter Service by next week at that rate. Way to go.....
I did my service, taking it slow and easy it took me about three hours. The three filters and fluids (5 gal. usd2, + motor oil) ran about $200.00.
The front axle draining (w/ tires on) was when I spilled a little fluid, but other than that, it was very easy and straight forward, with no other problems. If done w/ front tires off, then probably wouldn't have spilled a drop.
There were so many choices out there to pick from, but when it finally came down to compact size and packing a powerful punch, the B2650 fit the bill.
Recently on a "picnic grounds" clean up project down by the river, we had another tractor for one weekend help out, it was a Cat TLB w/ extend-a-hoe dipper. It was great for the extra heavy lifting, but it could NOT get into about 60% of the job site because of the canopy height, and tractor width.
It was the B2650 that "got the whole job done". Mostly clearing and grading, with some underground work. Love my B2650 w/ attachments.

Thanks for the write up! This is exactly the kind of feedback I've been looking for. Been looking at B3350 and B2650 for the past month or two. Very leery about the 3350 after reading all the comments / articles, etc about the DPF issues. But when I turn to the 2650, I've been worried (okay, scared to death) that I would be wasting my money on an underpowered tractor. Your write up went a long way to making me feel more comfortable about the 2650. Should be pulling the trigger soon!

That's great to hear I'm a little fearful too. My new 2650 will be delivered next week. Would love to see more pictures and hear of your experiences

You'll love it. I have had mine for a few months now and haven't found a thing that it doesn't do well.

I just traded 2011 MF GC2410 on a new B2650, BH77', 63 " front mount snowblower, LA546 FEL, Box Blade, Canopy with front and rear mounted led's, and back wheel spacers (live on top of a pretty big hill with 1000' driveway to the bottom). I get delivery in a week or so and depending on how it handles the hill I may get a MMM and get rid of my JD500X. We'd have been great to have the cab but just could not swallow another 11,000.00.

Nice hearing people seem pleased with their B2650's. I've had mine for maybe 6 weeks now but haven't had the opportunity to work it much yet. I got it with the 60" bucket, 72"mmm, hydraulics front and rear, and a EA 50" grapple that works great BTW. I'd like to eventually get a hydraulic shift flail.

With the grass now growing I'm about to start mowing next week. Then there's stone to spread on some of the trails and driveway, field to cut down a couple times a year, and a lot of brush piles, rocks, and pine trees to grapple with.

So far I'm quite satisfied, it's a nice upgrade from my B7500.

I'm pulling the trigger on a B2650, with a Cab, this week, one question on the front snowthrower though... I am getting the hydraulic rotator, but the dealer spec'd an electric deflector... anyone have any experience with these?
