Hello all,
I've had this tractor for a number of years and bought it from the original owner. With less than 500hrs on it, she has never failed to perform for me. I looked at the possibility of trading her in for one with the loader and backhoe attachments, but was scared off by the price. There is nothing wrong with my L2550DT shuttle shift and I don't want to have $32k in a new one. So, I decided to look at attachments. After reading the forum and looking around I purchased a Westendorf TA-111a loader. After it finally arrived (more a case of me being anxious than them being slow). I started looking at the mounting brackets. How do I determine the bolt sizes to bolt the mounting hardware on the tractor. I searched the forum, but was unable to find anyone posting on this subject. I know the bolts are metric, but what pitch?
Anyone able to shed some light in this dark tunnel? From what I can tell, the info supplied from the manufacturer is weak on details.
Help, help and thanks!
:(

You should be able to measure bolts and/or holes for diameter and thread pitch. Most tap/die sets have thread pitch gages.

dat7, on my L305 all the bolts were 1.5 pitch.

I have a collection of metric bolts, so I just went through them until I found one that screwed in. Took it with me to town. Check Fastenal for your fasteners. Prices are hard to beat. Use a depth gauge to check the tapped depth and add the thickness of your plate plus washers to get full thread engagement. Use grade 8. Be ready for sticker shock!!

Most if not all of the bolts on my L3450 are fine thread metric bolts.
There were several different sizes.

Great points y'all... Guess I kinda' took the panic route
I got a measurement of 0.491" on one of the bosses and have to guess that it may be a 12mm x 1.5 thread pitch. If I can stop by Fastenal I can get a cheaper assortment (not grade 8) to bring home and make the determination before buying the more expensive ones when I know more about the exact sizes.
I'll try and furnish a more complete list afterward.
Thanks all!
