I am thinking about getting a front end loader for my tractor and installing it myself to save some money. My question is, is the transmission fluid what supplies fluid to the cylinders for the loader? I was reading another post about bleeding the front cylinders. If my way of thinking is correct I can just hook up the hosed and work the lever to purge the air out of the new loader and fill the transmission back up. Am I thinking correctly or way off? Thanks for your help! Travis

What I am trying to ask is. Is the transmission the reservoir for the front end loader or is there a seperate hydraulic fluid reservoir?

That is my understanding, yes.
As to purging the lines, I can't see why your described method isn't exactly the way to do it.

Good luck!
