New BX owner, looking for info on mower deck compatibility

Hi all, I’m a Kubota owner....again. I already have a G1800, among other equipment of various colors, but I just bought a used BX1880 to take its place.

I would like to replace the 54” deck with a 60”. I’ve done some research and searching around and it seems like the 60” decks will work on the BX18. It appears that Kubota just doesn’t offer them from the factory due to the 18hp rating which I’m not worried about.

I’m having difficulty identifying which model decks work with which model BXs though. My 1880 has a RCK54-23BX. I’ve found a nice looking 60” deck RCK60B23BX. I can’t tell if this will fit my tractor though. The ad for the desk states that it was removed from a 2370. I found a Messicks video where he compares a RCK60B23BX and a RCK54B23BX on a 80 series BX like my tractor though.

Is it safe to assume that the RCK60B23BX will properly fit/mount to my BX1880? If not does anybody know which model 60” BX decks I should be looking for?

There is also the issue that the BX1880 has smaller wheels so is lower and it is a few inches shorter so you need the shorter front bracket ( or modify the one that comes with the deck) Otherwise the RCK60b23x will fit on the tractor. You need to lift the tractor a small amount to push it under. We sold a few set up that way.

Is it too far or difficult to take your tractor to the deck to fit it.. surely they would let you try it.

I understood that the BX1870 and earlier had the shorter length and wheel base. However, the Bx1880 has the same chassis as the other "larger" BX models. Other than the tire size issue, he should not have any fitment problems. I fitted the larger wheel/tires on mine and I had no clearance issues anywhere. The mower should be the same.
