I'm ready to make the switch to Ag tires.

Can someone double check this -

Front 6x12 Ag
Rear 9.5 x 16 Ag

According to Messicks, it looks like the front rims are 6C040-50221, $280 each
The rear rims are 66436-17640, $190

A quick search shows 6x12 tires somewhere around $100 each and rears around $250 each.

So somewhere around $1600?

Is a Kubota dealer likely to be able to offer anything better?

Go visit your local Kubota dealer and talk to the sales department not the parts department and ask for a Wholegoods price on a wheel and tire package. It is usually cheaper buying through Wholegoods than parts and by buying at a local dealer the freight will be cheaper if they get it in on a stock order.

While at the dealer ... Ask if they might have some "take-off's"? Or if they know of a customer that bought additional tires and wheels because they ended up not liking what came on there tractor.

@BAP I don't understand the 'wholegoods' distinction other than the sale doesn't go through the parts department. Are wheels and tires for a 17-year old model tractor still going to be offered as whole goods?

They would be as its the same sizes as the new b2301 2401 2601. The rims from the new B models will bolt right on your 7510

Wholegoods is buying larger items that are more like an attachment. The rims and tires as a package are Wholegoods because they are a complete unit that attaches to the tractor. The rims, and tires can be bought individually through the parts department, but not as a complete unit. These types of Wholegoods items are only sold through the sales department, not parts and are usually cheaper than buying individually through parts.

You are 100% right!
  • The B7510 takes 66436-17640 rims on the REAR - and Messicks shows the exact same part for the B2301HSD.

  • The B2301HSD has two Ag options for the FRONT:

  • And the second one (6-12 R1) takes 6C040-50240 rims - exactly the same as my B7510 takes

  • So, the next annoying question I have is how do the two front tire/rim options for the B2301HSD differ? - One says 6-12 R1 tires and the other is 6-12B...
