Hey guys. I have been reading on this sight for weeks because I ended up getting a b6000 this winter that came with a front end loader and s850 tiller.
This tractor had some issues when I bought it one of which was a bad clutch fork and seized througout bearing. While doing these repairs I naturally decided to change all the fluids as well. Well now I am waiting for my new clutch fork to arrive from Kubota so I thought I would try and tackle the very abused tiller.
They must have been incredibly hard on this thing because they actually broke/cracked several of the tine holders. Some of the tines themselves are broken or missing also. I am basically going to have to try and re-weld all of the tine holders and possibly make new ones for them to work.
My question is where can I get the correct parts for the tiller? I will need new bolts, nuts and tines. Also, am I better off to look for one in better shape than this one? What would an S850 cost in used condition?
I am not even 100% sure I can make this thing usable again. I am guessing they installed the wrong tines and they weren't tight in the holders so it just mangeled them up.
Anybody even have any good ideas for how to fix these? I know the one end is supposed to be hex shaped to hold the nut which would be hard to duplicate. Maybe a different holder design? Hopefully you guys have some ideas for me!

One other thing I forgot to ask was what are those wheel looking things that hang down off the "T-bar" on the back of the tiller? My tractor didn't come with those so I am not sure. Will I still be able to till without them?

It sounds like you might be better off trying to find another tiller. The S850 came out on a lot of B6000s, I think it was unique to this tractor only, due to the ccw pto. If you do decide to repair it, the 3 places I see mentioned on here lots for parts are Messicks, West Kentucky Tractor Parts, and of course one of our moderators on here, Acreage Outfitters.
The wheel things are used for depth control and will only allow the tiller to go so deep. You will be able to till just fine without them but will have to control your depth by raising/lowering your 3pt.

Has anyone used these guys for tines on their s850? http://www.southern-global.com/
According to the drawing they look pretty close and they are very fairly priced. I just don't want to order a bunch of them and not be able to use them. I could just order one and see how it fits but I am hoping to avoid paying shipping twice.
