I have a T2290KWT riding mower with an RCK48P-90 deck and need a picture of the belt guide pin that's up on the main drive pulley for the deck, that comes off of the engine. I think mine got bent and I keep chucking deck belts. I would just like to see a picture of how it's supposed to be lined up. Thanks in advance.

Hope this helps. If I didn’t get what you need or you need anything additional, let me know.

You rock! I zoomed in on the area that I need the picture of and I'm a bit confused, looks like your belt goes on the outside of that guide pin I thought that guide pin was to keep the belt on the pulley and was on the inside of that pin?

You looking at this pin on the deck?

Or this pin on the motor/clutch?

I may have misunderstood the assignment. Thought you wanted the pin on the deck. Photo of the pin on the motor is from the wrong side so it’s not very instructive. If you’re looking for the pin in the second photo, I’ll get you a better pic.

You got me curious so I had to look at it between lunch and weed whacking.

If it’s the pin by the pulley on the motor, I don’t know why it’s there but it isn’t to be a keeper unless mine is messed up. Mine only has 55 hours on it. A stick got on top of the deck at about 6 hours, derailed and shredded the belt, so this is the second belt and admittedly I put it on. 49 hours either way no problems thus far. Yes, it’s on the inside of the belt. It has nothing to do with the belt.

This is the view looking straight up from the floor toward the motor output shaft/clutch/drive pulley. The pin is on the lower part of the picture just above the belt and almost touching the pulley. As you can see, if the belt is routed to the inside of that pin, the pin would scrub the hell out of the belt. To make it worse, the pin is flattened on the end. If routed inside the pin, the belt would be scrubbing on a corner of the pin. I sort of doubt the belt would last more than a few minutes routed behind the pin.

Thanks a ton! I thought I was losing my mind because normally a belt is behind a guide pin and mine was routed on the outside and I just wanted to make sure that wasn't why I was throwing the belt off. Here's the kicker, I work at an AG dealership that just recently quit selling Kubota's and we were an authorized dealer so I took this to the guys in our lawn and garden shop and they're all perplexed as to why that belt would run on the outside of that pin. But they have never had a T2290 that needed any deck repairs so they had not personally seen it. we do have a smaller Kubota rider back in the shop but it has a flat bar that's got a curve to it and the belt does ride on the inside of that one.
