Got sick of the battery going flat on the cordless drill a few years ago so I put a cord on it :D drill.jpg
It's an old slow drill. Doesn't have the power of the newer ones but I had to get it out again today when the battery went flat in the cordless.
The two crocodile clips go onto the battery of the tractor, Quad or van and away you go. It doesn't even matter which clip goes where because you can just reverse the drill :)
One of my better inventions which might help someone else

Great idea. Better than chucking a perfectly good drill.

An alternative wiring solution might be a battery tender wiring cable. Not sure what you guys have over there but we use these on all kinds of charging/power applications. These are long so they should give you plenty of roving space with your drill.

I have one dangling off the front to keep the battery tender charging and I just bought one of the longer ones to run to the back of the tractor to run my spray rig. I also plan to run one to the rear of my ute to power the spray rig and other items.

Now, I need to figure out how to make a bracket that fits on my box scraper that will hold all my hand tools!

There is a socket for one of those on a cushman at the golf course. We weren't sure what it was for. We usually take power from the cigar lighter.
