Mystery Fender Hole

My L1500DT has a single hole on the Right Rear Fender that I can not determine what it is for?



It is a very clean hole and is 12 mm in diameter, I am positive it is factory.
My only thought is for the optional work light shown in the wiring diagram.


Any thoughts?

I would agree with that hole for a work light.

I think that is where my signal light is mounted. Will check.
