I am NO kind of hydraulics guy!!!
The previous owner damaged and badly repaired the loader mounts. I had to remove the 3 hydraulic lines to do proper repairs. Unfortunately, the lines did not have any quick disconnects (Q/D). I removed the 3 lines to remove and repair the mounts and had Q/D's installed. Unfortunately, I failed to mark which line's went to which location. There are no markings on the distribution block or control valve. I connected the lines and tried the joystick. I immediately developed a spraying leak where the joystick goes into the control valve (pic 1). I have 2 questions. #1 which line goes where ( I marked one line with red tape and one with yellow the other I left with no markings. #2 How do I repair the leak? Is it possible that, when I get the 3 lines running to the right places that the leak will stop on its own?

Pics of distribution block and valve. The third line is the one on the opposite side of the valve as the yellow marked one.

Like to help you out, but need more info:

As what exact model of MX5100 is it?

There is a label on the valve please provide any info on it as that does not appear to be a stock valve for that loader.

Loader serial Number might help too as there is 4 possible sub models listed.

It does sound as you have either Tank/ Return and PB swapped.

I can't say for sure if it did or didn't pop seals out of it as I don't know what valve that is to be able to see the parts breakdown.

Thanks Wolf, the tractor is 1 1/2 hours from my primary residence. I will try to get up there soon and get the info you asked for. RD

On the valve there is is letters cast into the body of it, if you can, see if there is any letters next to the other 2 ports. ;)

On the joystick valve, I found a " P" stamped on the inboard side of the valve body. It can be seen in one of the pics. I looked everywhere I could see and found no other stamping. There is a manufacturerers tag mounted just under the " P" connection on the joystick valve. On the distribution block below the floor board I found no stamping at all.

Ok, the saga continues. I got the right hoses going to the right places but, the damage is done. The valve leaks from 2 differant places. I called a local hydraulics repair place and gave them the valve info. It would cost about the same to rebuild as to replace.
Looking at replacement, I would like to add a 3rd function on the FEL so I'm wondering if I could replace the 2 spool valve with a 3 spool valve and run extra lines to the FEL without having to buy a 3rd function kit?! Would this work? I'm including a pic of the ID tag on the original valve.

Hello Lee
Check with Bailey***8217;s hydraulics. They should have what you need. Good luck. Lance

Thanks Lance
What would the valve I'm looking for be called? It would be nice to have a single joystick with a open/close button on it for ease of operation. Then, I would assume, all I'd have to do for 3rd function is run 2 hoses with quick couplers to the FEL.

They don't make a stock all in one control that will do both mechanical loader operation (joystick) with a electrically controlled valve section (push button).

So you'll have to do a regular joystick controlled spool valve with an added third function.

Bummer!
Ok since I'm looking at replacing the valve, I'd like to get a good one. I looked at Bailey's and there about $400. I can also look at a Kubota for about $600. Any other suggestions?
Also, who has the best bang for your buck on 3rd function kits?

Look under the boot of the joy stick... you might be able to use that to operate 2 of the spools as one handle. Take some photos of the linkage...

The 3rd spool will be another "stick / handle"; the 3rd function kit ($$$) is where you can open/close a grapple at the push of a button.

I have a separate handle on another spool to operate my grapple. No problem and was pretty cheap.

I'm lazy[emoji6]. I don't want to have to move my hand the extra 3 inches.
Seriously, the all in one is just more convenient.

Thanks, I move snow, grapple logs, pull stumps etc. I really could use an extra function.
