Went to start the other morning and nothing, not a click, not a struggle, just nothing however all my dash lights are good.
The only difference between the last time I used it and the previous three years is This time I shut the motor off while the PTO was stil engaged then disengaged the PTO lever.
Turned on the Headlights, blinkers, flashers, everything works great.
Checked the battery, positve terminal was corroded, removed connecters, cleaned battery posts and terminals.
Reconnected , all looks good, voltage measures 12.6VDC (FlukeDMM)
No click and no attempt to turn over sounds alot like my B2600 when a safety switch is disconnected.
Started some research and discovered there are three, Seat , PTO and Neutral safety.
Tested Seat with Multimeter, continuity good. Opens and coses as it should when pressed and returned to normal
Triesd rocking tfoot pedal while trying to start - no change in status
Tried rocking the PTO lever while trying top start - no change.
There are two switches on the PTO - Unplugged and tested with my multimeter.
One acts as I would expect - continuity with the lever in one position - Open with lever is other position.
The second switch is always open!
So my question is, why are there two switches? And should they both act the same way.
Does anyonehave an Idea of what I may be doing wrong?
Thank
