OK I have been reading around the internet for 3 hours, or so I am told by my girlfriend, trying to figure this out. MY tractor is starving for fuel and my father and I have checked all the norms.....new filters, batteries are good, electrical is all good, air filter clean, plenty of fuel, nothing in tank to stop fuel, drained the fuel and put new in and nothing has worked. So my question is what next?

Tractor runs for 5 to 10 minutes as soon as started then no power almost dies, have to clutch it to keep it running and run it wide open to get any power at all out of it. NO load on the tractor at all.

I am not a mechanic but my thoughts are fuel pump or fuel injector pump.

How do I check them and if need be where is a good place to purchase them.

Found fuel pump on ebay new for 85 and injector pump for 500-700 I think.

Thanks in advanced

I am in the midst of the same issues.

Fuel pump replacement solved some of it.

Cracking the injector lines to see which ones have no response to the engine performance will lead you to either a bad/clogged injector or portion of the pump.

Could be Fuel solenoid, fuel pump, fuel cap vent, plugged injectors, bad injection pump.
Is it blowing any smoke?

So what happens when you 'crack' the injectors, one-by-one? is there one of them that doesn't cause the engine to stumble when it's cracked?

I would be surprised if the answer is 'yes', but that seems to be a fundamental check. It sounds very much like there is a blockage. Your checks (filters, etc.) sound great. What I'm not understanding is whether you have done a complete test of the entire fuel system from tank to injector. I hope you've overlooked some trivial check that will reveal the "culprit"!

Do you have good fuel flow from tank to inj pump?????? I once owned a M4900 that would run out of power and I found a small screen in water separator filter housing that was plugged.

Does it have rubber fuel lines? ya might want to check and see if maybe they are collapsing when your running,,just a thought

Thanks for the info. No I have not cracked each one to see if tractor stumbles but an old tractor mechanic that I bought some hay from yesterday told me to check the banjo fittings and if they are not the problem I am gonna start off by cracking each injector one by one to see if she stumbles. Injectors are cheap the pump is not!

Thanks for all the help and I will post what I find out this afternoon.

You will be ahead of the game if you'll check for ""good fuel flow"" to inj pump before you check injectors.
