I tried to paste a video to describe what I’m seeing, but it looks like I can only upload photos. I have a MX 4800 that I have been using all day without issue and I turned it off just about an hour ago to grab a drink of water and when I jump back on it simply turning on the ignition made the tachometer and the engine temperature gauges go crazy and a few of the lights on the instrument cluster blinked around and I could hear what sounded like a few solenoids clicking on and off.

I have 13.68 V on the battery and when I turn on the ignition, the voltage stays the same and when I turn on the start position, nothing happens, but the voltage also stays the same.

I took the key out and put it back in and now nothing is displaying on the gauge cluster, but I can still hear some relays clicking around. The main stupid part about this is I have got the tractor blocking my driveway.

Any ideas where I should be looking first as far as troubleshooting this at least enough to get it out of the way of the driveway so I can go to work tomorrow morning?

Start with removing both end of both battery cables and clean them.
Also check the main fuses for possible corrosion on the terminals?
If that doesn't fix it, Take the battery to an Auto parts store and have it load tested.
You can have a good voltage and still have bad amperage.

I pulled all the fuses and reinstalled them…no corrosion and nothing blown. I hear you about corroded cables and terminals but what it is doing right now is happening under essentially zero load. It is only with the ignition on that It’s behaving like this and when I try to start it, it does nothing different.

Make sure all your safety switches are in the proper position. Any chance you left something engaged when you shut the tractor off and forgot to reset before trying to start your tractor ?

Why did you come here and ask what could be causing your issue, then, when told what the cause is, probably 85% of the time, you make excuses as to why you're not checking it????

I am clarifying things to be sure that folks understand that what I am seeing is happening under very low loads.
