Mower Deck will not raise...

I just recently purchased a used BX2230D, it has around 450 hrs. I removed the FEL and now cannot raise the mower deck, or 3pt hitch. Everything works great when the FEL is hooked up, anyone know what can be the problem.

You have two knobs in front of the seat. The right one, a valve (facing forward) controls the speed of the deck/3 pt. Open that up about a turn and see if that helps. The second knob on the left controls the cut height. You'll see numbers on it. Make sure it's on a number 2, 2.5, etc. and not on TOP
