I just received a new aftermarket belt purchased off a US site that indicated it is a replacement for Kubota part number K5763-34712. However that belt is made in China QUIJIA brand and is 120in long while the genuine Kubota part is 328cm or 129in long. Questions - 1. will this 9in (7%) shorter belt fit on my deck (I dont want to damage it trying if it wont, so I am able to return it) and 2. If it will fit, do I risk damaging my deck pulleys etc by running with a shorter belt? Many thanks in advance for expert advice.

Hay, I don't own or work on those machines ,maybe there's enough 'slack' to allow it ?

If you want to test a 120" belt, overlap your old belt, tape it, now it's a 120 or get 10' of 3/8" rope and use that as a 'test' belt.

I know, Kubota belt is $$$$$, but should last a very long time as long as pulleys line up and if not in use for a month or more, release tension on the belt.

Any deck belt you get needs to have Kevlar or Aramid in it. Makes them strong and able to be bent 'backwards' around flat faced pulleys.

That belt is under a lot of stress and it takes abuse from sticks and rocks while mowing. I'm all about saving money where I can, but this is one of the items where I would opt for the genuine OEM part, unless I knew who manufactured the belts for Kubota.

Do yourself a favor and buy the proper replacement belt from Kubota.

I second this. What I did on my BX2200 after about 18 years, mostly mowing.

Original two groove belt turned into two single belts by the time I replaced it, but it was still working fine...

I spent the extra for the Kubota belt. No regrets after about four years now...

The belt is not correct. If it is 9" different from the OEM, then it is wrong. Send it back. I have used aftermarket belts on both my Kubota and Landpride mowers with good luck. and they have always been identical in length.

@petman_7 are you sure that the OEM Kubota belt is not 119" long? If it is, and you want to go the aftermarket route, the Rotary 15012 seems like a quality replacement.

The box/wrapper it came in might say 129", BUT the actual belt could be 120" ! I've had that happen, online, once. Somehow belt got wrong wrapper. I spent a lot of time putting parts on the correct pegs at Radio Shack cause people would put them back 'anywhere'......

I see a number of dealers refer to it as a multi 119 belt which is why I had assumed it was 119".

I suspect the old (stretched) belt is 129", rather than the OEM spec being 129". Looks like the OEM spec is 119".

There is no way that belt stretched 9 or 10 inches.
I'm really wondering if your deck being an AU model is different than the US models.
Pictures of your deck and belt layout might help clear things up.
