I just got a new tractor with a LA1154S loader on it and can't find any info on how to change the fulcrum pin to the lower position. Can anyone tell me where I can get this information?
This is a "swag" - but I would imagine you place it on very level ground, place the loader in "float" and pull the pins, then slowly raise the bucket to extend the arms the inches it needs....I can see that being the fun part!! Betcha you gonna need two people to pull this off!I just got a new tractor with a LA1154S loader on it and can't find any info on how to change the fulcrum pin to the lower position. I did read the manual all it said was for more power move pin to lower hole. I looked over the manual several times but ill look again just to make sure. This is the first real tractor I've owned so I know there is going to be a learning curve.Have you read the loader operators manual?
I would expect as noted previously, place bucket flat on ground, float loader boom, engine off, in gear, park brake applied, and then simply pull pin and move to other position as you will be able to extend or retract rod if necessary. In the manual you may find that there is a particular position where the arc between the two pin positions is identical, such as flat on ground or bucket at full dump etc.
Thanks Dave, I don't have anyone to help me so I'm going to ask the guy at the Kubota dealership to stop by next time he has a service call in the area and show me.First do you know how to remove the fulcrum pin?
There is a spring pin on the inner surface of the loader arm that when removed will allow the pin to slide out. The loader has to be on flat level ground for there to be no pressure on the pins. The loader arms will have to be raised and lowered slightly to get the pressure off the pin.
It is a two person job and don't ever stick you finger in a hole to see if the alignment is getting close. It becomes a super pair of scissors and no more finger.
I have done this switch twice in 5 years because it is such a pain to do.
Get them done one at a time. Just don't use the loader with the pins in different holes but it is OK to move it up and down.
Putting the loader arm in float position and then tilt the bucket to move the holes into alignment works well.
