Got 300 hours on my L4060 and its time for the hydraulics. What I am looking for is some decent prices on the filters. Last time I replaced the main hydraulic filter I had sticker shock.

Are there Baldwin or Donaldsons that can replace the Kubota at a lower cost? Don't bother with the fluid, yes I AM using Kubota UDT2. I need to replace everything except the air filter and oil filter. I wont have enough containers for all the fluids in one shot so staggering out the oil for now.

Yes. I just did mine last weekend and used a Baldwin and a Donaldson. I have a B series but the crossmatch was easy to find and the filters spun on perfectly. I have mowed for a few hours since then and no leaks or issues.

Your taking a HUGE risk using any other filter than an OEM filter for the Hydraulics with an HST.
HST filters are different than standard hydraulic filters.

I sincerely hope your not using UDT2 that stuff was Obsolete back in the early 2000's.
Try using SUDT2 you'll have much better results.

No 300hr hydraulics maintenance listed in the operator's manual for the Lxx60s.
Are you doing your maintenance early, late or have the recommendations changed?

To provide a container to capture all fluids in one setting, use a old "protein tub". They are available at any cattle farm. The become trash after enough are collected, or they may sell them for $5 each. Cut it down to fit under your tractor. Works excellent. Wide mouth, high volume, inexpensive. They come in yellow, brown, black and blue!!
