Hello,

I've been trying to research on the net but I'm coming up empty. I have a M7060 that is used mostly for snow management on my properties. I run a large Pronovost snowblower and an extendable snowplow, also got the bucket. I'm fine with the tractor doing nothing else but since I'm making payments all year long on this thing I'm wondering if there's some kind of backhoe implement I could run in the summer time along with the bucket for some general landscaping ? I'm guessing it exists but I'm really comming up short on google. Do you guys know what would be compatible?

I occasionally rent a mini excavator to get to pipe leaks, digging trenches for drainage, fixing up driveways or foundation repairs but if I could do most of those jobs with my machine, even if it would take a bit longer I guess, it might make some kind of sense for me ?

I looked at getting a bx23s or a used mini excavator but they seem a bit too expensive for my needs and might as well just keep renting. But I'm from a small place and equipment isn't always available when I actually need it and the rentals are quite expensive too.

Any insight would be much appreciated.

Thank you very much!

I think it's the M4509, or at least that's one model. You'll need a sub frame too right. I know that Kubota no longer offers/makes backhoes for the M7060/M6060 because I enquired at the local dealer after I picked up the M6060. It was crazy expensive or would have been had the not been discontinued.

See this post.

interesting... at least some US dealers do? I be no expert so don't know why Kubota Canada doesn't. Maybe discontinued?? but used ones still for sale at least if OP really wants one.

and Messicks carries parts

The owner who is considering the one shown lives in Canada so acquiring the mounting frame may be a challenge

If I were in your place keep renting or get a mini-X if you need to do a lot of digging regularly. Renting means 100% write off that year. Maintenance is the headache of the rental company.

In my experiences Ag tractor BH's are light duty compared to construction grade machines and a PITA to operate because you have to get out of the operator seat and climb on the BH seat every 3-4 feet of trench. These BH's are under powered and slow because your tractor doesn't have a lot of aux flow. You will break things on your tractor and BH mounts if you are using them commercially.
