There are adapters made for that. I can't remember where I got mine. Sorry.

But the outlet on the M7040 is round pin, IIRC, rather than flat pin like most trucks, etc.

Just make sure you have the right one that will plug into the M7040.

Oh, I remember now. A plug was bought that fit the outlet and then I wired a 4-pin female into it. Fairly simple to do.

Edit: I think this is what was used: http://www.etrailer.com/question-6825.html

Here is one already made up: http://www.delcity.net/store/7!Way-to-4!Way-Adapter/p_633117.h_633752.t_1.r_IF1003?gclid=CPiE3ryLk78CFQOSaQodTTsAjw

You might be able to get it at an electric supply house. The local one here has some odd ball stuff and have been suprised what they actually had

Those connectors are used on highway trucks, so any truck service shop will have. Four pin connectors are easier to locate

I guess because I live in the land of logging trucks that I get lucky in finding parts at the auto parts stores that city dwellers don't get.
So try a truck parts or RV parts supply house, or EBay.
