I recently decided to check out the right front axle leak on my m6-111. Open up the right front portal to get at the seal and the oil was the most metal contaminated I have ever seen. After getting the right side dismantled, Massive bearings failure. Bearings missing, races gone and shavings everywhere. After getting the right side dismantled, The axle, all the bearings, seals and shims to be replaced. My question is, does that portal oil go through to the other side and/or the front differential ? I want to make sure the new oil stays clean. I will drain all the front oils and check for contamination. Just wondering how Im going to get everything super clean if it all intermixes. There are different drain locations and fill locations. I always fully service the tractor once a year and it has less than 1000hrs. (900)Except the hyd fluid, all the fluids and filters get changed with Kubota fluids. I have only changed the hyd fluid 3 times The tractor is a 2015 model I bought new. Thanks for looking.
