Thanks for these. Now I could use a link to a youtube video on replacement of the pump.

My situation is: 1) the tractor started coughing and quit. 2) I cleaned the air filters. 3) I changed the fuel filter, which was filthy. 4) I tried to purge air from the system using the little button designed to do do. 4) I have the battery on trickle charge 5) when i try to re-start the tractor, it coughs, runs a short while, coughs again, and quits. 5) there is fuel in the fuel tank

What is my next move? Continue trying to bleed air and keep trying to start? Replace the fuel pump? Clean the injectors? I prefer to do as little as possible to get the tractor up and running again.

Any opinions are appreciated.

Open valve 80 on the side of the Injection pump
crank for a few min in short intervals to not over heat the starter,
That will purge all air to the pump.
Pull the small line off the side of valve 80 if your getting good pulses of fuel you do not need a lift pump.
